Chetwynd Barracks, Chilwell is where most of the Reservists and TA\u2019s being sent to Iraq are mustered. The Blair Government orders these troops to fight an illegal, unjust and murderous war. Many tens of thousands of Iraqis have been killed as a result of the invasion of Iraq.<\/p>\n
Nottingham Stop the War Coalition picketed the main entrance of Chetwynd Barracks so as to reach out to service personnel and their families. We wanted to persuade them not to support the war in Iraq. They have a legal right to become conscientious objectors.<\/p>\n
2.00 p.m Assembled at the car park in the shopping area on Nottingham Road. Then we marched up Swiney Way to the main entrance of Chetwynd Barracks. Banners erected, speeches made.<\/p>\n
