Just posted this to the British Libary, Have tried Nottinghamshire Country library, but they have no plans. So, dear readers, do any of you passers-by, have any ideas or further reference? Just wondered.<\/p>\n

Asking for advice on access to the Dewey Decimal Catalogue on a mobile device, like my Personal Digital Organiser (PDA) or WAP device. I currently get a bus timetable, weather forecast and a number of other services via these means.

I was aware, and took advantage, while on short courses in USA and Europe, that I could access a number of library services by these means. <\/p>\n
I thought it unlikely the WAP pages had been developed for these purposes here, but frequently such devices can assess ‘proper’ internet pages, offering database services.<\/p>\n
What I have found out so far are:<\/p>\n
http:\/\/web.simmons.edu\/~fox\/PDA.html<\/a> <\/p>\n and<\/p>\n Hampshire Library wap: http:\/\/wap.hants.gov.uk\/library\/<\/a> {have prepared this link, in a WAP emulator ] <\/p>\n Hampshire Library Wap .pdf info sheet although, not a catalogue yet.<\/p>\n Wondered how far county library, or British Library had got? <\/p>\n A grateful for any help and advice.
