I threw this together in some anger while listening to the election results and thinking another chapter of oppression is about to begin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed-issuu wp-block-embed is-type-rich\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<div data-url=\"https:\/\/issuu.com\/alanlodge\/docs\/zine_27_beanfield_a4_horz\" style=\"width: 640px; height: 227px;\" class=\"issuuembed\"><\/div><script type=\"text\/javascript\" src=\"\/\/e.issuu.com\/embed.js\" async=\"true\"><\/script>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>I hope all here know of the governments<br>consultation on \u2026..<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>\u2018Strengthening police powers to<br>tackle unauthorised encampments\u2019<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tory Project on our liberty:<br>Chapter 1 &#8211; Public Order Act 1986<br>Chapter 2 &#8211; Criminal Justice and Public Order Act 1994<br>Chapter 3 &#8211; This one coming down the pipe \u2026\u2026. 2020<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/government\/consultations\/strengthening-police-powers-to-tackle-unauthorised-encampments<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We would like to consult on measures to criminalise the act of trespassing when setting up an unauthorised<br>encampment in England and Wales.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We would also like to consult on what an alternative approach to this could be:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>amending section 62A of the Criminal Justice and Public Order Act 1994 to permit the police to direct trespassers to suitable authorised sites located in neighbouring local authority areas<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br>amending sections 61 and 62A of the Criminal Justice and Public Order Act 1994 to increase the period of time in which trespassers directed from land would be unable to return from 3 months to 12 months<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br>amending section 61 of the Criminal Justice and Public Order Act 1994 to lower the number of vehicles needing to be involved in an unauthorised encampment before police powers can be exercised from six to two or more vehicles<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br>amending section 61 of the Criminal Justice and Public Order Act 1994 to enable the police to remove trespassers from land that forms part of the highway.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Yet another zine \u2026\u2026.
