{"id":533,"date":"2003-03-27T17:33:00","date_gmt":"2003-03-27T17:33:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/tashuk.wordpress.com\/2003\/03\/27\/533\/"},"modified":"2003-03-27T17:33:00","modified_gmt":"2003-03-27T17:33:00","slug":"533","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/alanlodge.co.uk\/blog\/archives\/533","title":{"rendered":"trollyd soundsystem &#8211; weapons of mass pleasure"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Sheffield Mobile Sound System<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.burngreave.net\/~trollyd\">http:\/\/www.burngreave.net\/~trollyd<\/a><\/p>\n<p>sheffield\u2019s trollyd crew came together for their first outing back in 2001 but had been knocking around together for a few years doing small-scale parties and community events. we\u2019ve been around a bit&#8230; havin been involved in free parties\/soundsysytems\/pirate radio&#8230; arts projects\/workers\u2019 co-ops&#8230; politics\/protest\/green stuff.<\/p>\n<p><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/homepage.ntlworld.com\/tash.lodge\/Blog_Pix\/Trollyd.jpg?w=640\" \/><\/p>\n<p>since the first sheffield anti-war demo [dec01] we\u2019ve participated in critical mass [bike actions]&#8230; mayday sheffield&#8230; the second london anti-war demo 02 and numerous \u2018static\u2019 events&#8230; stonehenge 02&#8230; big green gathering 02 [briefly].<\/p>\n<p>trolley itself is currently in its second incarnation&#8230; the first trolley was an old steel works number but was borrowed from a mate&#8230; the current one is custom built with a battery box underneath&#8230; sadly though we\u2019ve got axle problems at the mo and might be looking for a replacement&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>The Guys have a background with Smokesceen, and were one of the outfits, that came together in opposing the Criminal Justice Act.
