He was 71.<\/p>\n<p>Born in Arkansas, &#8220;The Man in Black&#8221; originally auditioned as a gospel singer at Memphis&#8217;s Sun Studios before shifting to country music with his 1957 debut album Johnny Cash and his Hot and Blue Guitar.<\/p>\n<p>My favorite, I think was <a href=\"http:\/\/tash.dns2go.com\/FTP\/mp3\/JohnnyCash_RingofFire.mp3\">&#8216;Ring of Fire&#8217;<\/a>. Apparently, The Voices, told him to include the Mexican Trumpets. Wotta move!
