{"id":938,"date":"2004-12-06T18:03:00","date_gmt":"2004-12-06T18:03:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/tashuk.wordpress.com\/2004\/12\/06\/938\/"},"modified":"2004-12-06T18:03:00","modified_gmt":"2004-12-06T18:03:00","slug":"938","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/alanlodge.co.uk\/blog\/archives\/938","title":{"rendered":"Sherwood Protest Camp Evicted Today"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Well, over a year now, that folks have been living on the site, but 50 bailiffs and a hundred or so police, [including the road-block around the district, evicted the three people living there today.<\/p>\n<p>Through the course of the afternoon, I watched them saw down a 300 year old beech tree to make way for some more &#8216;progress&#8217;.<\/p>\n<p><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/srv.fotopages.com\/2\/3320615.jpg?w=640\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Three people were arrested as bailiffs moved onto the site in Debdale Lane, Mansfield Woodhouse, Nottinghamshire.<\/p>\n<p>The group had been camped in the threatened trees for 15 months.<\/p>\n<p>Around 50 bailiffs, along with 70 police officers who were there to ensure safety, moved in at first light on Monday morning.<\/p>\n<p>Three protesters were arrested by the bailiffs for on suspicion of obstructing a court officer.<\/p>\n<p>A fourth is understood to have left voluntarily.<\/p>\n<p>The bailiffs say safety is their main priority while the remaining protester is located.<\/p>\n<p><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/srv.fotopages.com\/2\/3320786.jpg?w=640\" \/><\/p>\n<p>More photos on my blog at:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/tashcamuk.fotopages.com\/?entry=283456\">http:\/\/tashcamuk.fotopages.com\/?entry=283456<\/a><\/p>\n<p>editors note:<\/p>\n<p>For those wondering what HCEO, written on the backs of some of the overalls means, they are &#8220;High Court Enforcement Officers&#8221;.
