Attended the G8 when the UK had the Presidency of Justice and Home Affairs ministerial meetings in Sheffield. Rev. Jesse Jackson visited Nottingham, supporting ‘Operation Black Vote’. Rowan Williams, the Archbishop of Canterbury, has assorted church meeting and met with local politicians.
